Biography:
Ihssan Kdah is a PhD candidate in Immunology at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France. She holds a Master's degree in Human Pathology Biology, specializing in cancer sciences, from Mohammed V University in Rabat. Her research focuses on host–pathogen interactions in respiratory viral infections, with a particular emphasis on the role of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in airway inflammation, tissue remodeling, and viral entry. Using in vivo and in vitro models of RSV and SARS-CoV-2 infection, she integrates molecular biology, immunology, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence approaches to uncover mechanisms of antiviral defense and identify potential therapeutic targets.
