Biography:
Rachana has been with the Department of Biotechnology at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology since June 2009. Previously, she worked at SPTM, NMIMS University, Mumbai. She completed her postgraduate studies in Biotechnology at IIT Roorkee (1998) and earned her PhD from IIT Bombay (2006). She qualified NET-LS and GATE, topping the Kanpur zone. She holds two Indian patents, authored 3 textbooks, and contributed to 60 international publications. A fellow of Biotechnology Society of India, her work focuses on molecular mechanisms of plant-based treatments for diseases like ARDS, asthma, diabetes, cancer, and Alzheimer’s.
